EFFECTIVE TEAT SPRAYING AT 3.5 SECS!

The Teatwand Rapid is an automated teat dip sprayer designed exclusively for fast moving large-scale rotary platforms.

The Teatwand Rapid system uses two Teatwands mounted on a moving slide that follows the rotary platform as it passes by. The two Teatwands can operate independently and provide accurate spraying of two cows at once.

The concept of the Teatwand Rapid mimics that of the Teatwand Exact but allows throughput of close to 1000 cows per hour with excellent teat spray coverage.

TWIN NOZZLES

Thorough teat spray coverage is achieved by utilising the two independently controlled spray nozzles on each of the two Teatwands.

Both Teatwands can extend independently under the cows’ udder as the rotary platform passes.

The Teatwand controller can easily adjust the sequencing and spray volumes applied to cows’ teats.

CONTROL SYSTEM

The Laser Position Sensors, one for each Teatwand, measures where the cow is in the stall and provides data to the controller. This will automatically select the appropriate spray sequence providing accurate and fast complete teat coverage without unnecessary use of the teat spray.

Stall sensors are used to determine the speed and direction in which the rotary platform is moving. If the rotary platform is reversed, the Teatwand Rapid system will not operate. It will not spray the same cow twice.

SAFETY MEASURES

Protecting your valuable cows and the system

The patented spring is designed for the cows’ protection and to limit
damage to the Teatwand system. Should the nozzle head come into contact with a cows’ leg the spring will deflect and return to its original position ready for the next spray sequence.

Each Teatwand system has an Air Filtration Unit to regulate and filter the compressed air used to operate the system. An isolation valve also exhausts all the compressed air from the Teatwand system, ensuring the safety of the staff and service people during maintenance procedures.

The rotary platform can be stopped and started at will without affecting the Teatwand Rapid systems operation.
